Agricultural Facilities Design and Fabrication

General Overview of Course:

TEKS 130.23- 
To be prepared for careers in mechanized agriculture and technical systems, students attain knowledge and skills related to agricultural facilities design and fabrication. Students will explore career opportunities, entry requirements, and industry expectations. To prepare for success, students reinforce, apply, and transfer their academic knowledge and technical skills in a variety of settings. Students will learn the following: the employability characteristics of a successful employee; how to demonstrate principles of designing facilities and the fabrication of those facilities related to agricultural structures; how to plan and construct fences, corrals, and other agricultural enclosures; and explore the different types of power systems used in agricultural facilities.
